1. Abstract painter, educator, peacebuilder

Beginning together

Sara makes work that connects with and helps to raise awareness of marginalised or forgotten communities. Her most recent paintings and installations integrate artwork collaboratively-created with groups of participators around the world.

Other abstract pieces created alone in the studio, celebrate and encourage seeing and doing differently.

Her photographs are truth-telling snapshots highlighting a world increasingly challenged by climate catastrophe and social injustice.

Working with Arts Lab

As the Founding Director of Arts Lab, Sara runs workshops and designs programmes promoting visual art as a means to bring people together and affect social change.

She also runs the Rural Peace Hub from her home and studio in Northumberland, UK – a place for changemakers to connect over coffee, cake and conversation, and get stuck into creative action.
